On May 19-20, 2026, at the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI)
International Conference POLAR 2026 - a landmark event designed to bring together scientists, representatives of federal government bodies, large businesses, and public organizations specializing in high-latitude research. The POLAR conference annually brings together over 300 leading experts specializing in the Arctic and Antarctic research.
This year, the key discussions at the event will focus on the implementation of major projects in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, as well as modern methods and technologies that have proven effective in hard-to-reach regions. Special attention from experts will be given to the scientific and technical support of projects in the Arctic, including the development of port and engineering infrastructure, energy supply, and environmental issues. Leading specialists will discuss the organization of station operations under conditions of autonomy and extreme temperatures, the development of unmanned aerial vehicles, ecology, and international cooperation.
